At its heart, ReSettle+ has been founded to enhance the capacities of NGOs working with migrant and conflict-affected communities in India. The project operates on the principle that lasting change is possible when grassroots organizations are equipped not just with our empathy, but with the information, tools and visibility they need to sustain and broaden their work.
Early efforts of the initiative include the creation of a consent-focused interview toolkit for NGOs, a participatory interview series with migrants within their network – to document their lived realities as well as a published long-form feature article that brings their narratives into mainstream discourse. Furthermore, ReSettle+ also aims to pilot a small-scale incubator program that raises and distributes funds to support organizations with targeted matters like staff onboarding, translation access and digital outreach. In doing so, the project envisions itself as both a humble platform for stories and a bridge for resources where individual resilience can meet with organizational growth and efforts that translate into tangible support and outcomes for marginalized migrants.
